It’s through making work that our own gaze is revealed back to us as artists - your way of viewing the world. Looking again at these pieces for the first time in a decade tells me a lot about the way I look and think and the kind of visual encounters that excite me. There are a lot of blank spaces and infinity backgrounds, unanchored in reality. Elements are simple and common place but unmoored and out of context. Often there is no set orientation for the images.
